Practice Manager

Steve has been working at KirksVets since 2014, He studied for his Diploma in Animal Care at Kirkley Hall in Northumberland where he originates from. He has a strong background in sales & customer service, having ran his own business and managing a large pet department previously to Kirks. He has two Golden Retrievers, Rumour & Eden and a rescue cat from Kirks called Blaire.

Jasper qualified from Liverpool Vet School in 1999. He has post graduate qualifications in cardiology and feline medicine. He has two daughters and several animals and enjoys playing polocrosse and swimming

Linda has recently relocated to the area from Suffolk however originally she comes from Shropshire. She comes from strong managerial roles where she has developed key skills in organisation and personnel issues. Linda loves swimming and spending time with her grown up family.

Francesca qualified in Italy and has been working in England since 2004. Francesca is particularly interested in ultrasonography, dermatology and feline medicine. She shares her home with her daughter and a cat called Zara. In her spare time Francesca enjoys reading, walking, painting and crochet.

Miklos graduated in 1989 at the University of Veterinary Science in Budapest, First working in state farms, then in the food administration industry. He has also owned a small animal surgery dealing with companion animals. In 2007 his family moved to the UK and have been working in various practices all over. Miklos joined Kirks in December 2015 and enjoys integrating with the team here. He currently lives in Sleaford with his Wife and Daughter, all being animal lovers with cats and dogs.

Jane graduated from the University of Bristol 1997, she worked in Peterborough for Best Friends until 2001, when she went to Southside in Birmingham, an Out Of Hours Emergency Care provider. She worked there until Dec 2002, when she bought a practice in Newark, with a friend. They ran the practice there until she left in June 2014, when she became self-employed and now she's working here with us at Kirks. Interests in work are general medicine and surgery. Out of work, her main hobbies are her pets, inc poultry and gardening

Hayley completed an animal care course at Caythorpe College with a distinction, specializing in animal grooming. She attended University studying Animal Science and Behaviour management before joining KirksVets full time; she has since completed a course in animal behaviour through the practice, and can advise on basic problems. Hayley completed her formal Veterinary Nurse Training in 2006. Hayley is also a clinical coach to train student nurses, her current student is Jayde.

Sarah qualified in 1988 and has worked in a variety of practices in Lincolnshire in a variety of roles. She holds certificates in Small Animal Dentistry, Nursing Rabbits and small animal nutrition. as well as Nursing Diabetic patients. She has a strong interest in Preventative Treatment. Sarah is also an Animal Medicines advisor and holds a CSQP and is a member of BVNA. She is a Clinical Coach and currently has Ed and Danni as students. Outside of work she plays Darts and enjoys keeping fit.

After studying Sport and Exercise Science at Sheffield Hallam University Danni took some time working in management and hospitality before finally finding out all she wanted to be was a nurse. She has recently started her nurse training at Bottle Green College. In her spare time she likes to play Netball and Basketball. Danni has two very miniature dogs and loves nothing more than taking them to the coast in her VW Campervan where her and her partner love to surf.

After spending a year at KirksVets as an assistant veterinary nurse Ed has now started his Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma to become a qualified nurse. He enjoys all aspects of the job but his main areas of interest are exotics and wildlife having spent time in Australia and Canada working with the more unusual animals. Outside of work he enjoy playing water polo and spending time training and flying his Harris hawk Swoop. He also has a 3 legged cat called Pythagoras he rescued from Kirks.

Jayde studied at Brooksby Melton College in 2007-2009 and qualified with a Triple Distinction in National Diploma in Animal Management and Welfare. She also studied at Bottle Green Training in 2011-2013 on a Level 3 Veterinary Nursing Diploma course, she completed year 2 but unfortunately had to stop training as a nurse because of a bad riding accident, hopefully in the near future she will be able to commence training again. Jayde has a rescue pony called Gizmo, he is a Welsh cob X, Skewbald in colour and also has a rescue Staffy called Kody. Her mum has a tabby cat that she hand reared from 10 days old he is called Finn and a guinea pig called Ginger Snap that she re homed from a primary school because he was unsuitable for the small children to handle. Jayde enjoys horse riding and dog walking outside of work.

Lucy joined KirksVets just before Christmas 2014 as an assistant Nurse, this job is something she has always wanted to do, she loves to see how the animals that we treat here improve and feels privileged to be part of a caring team. Lucy has a Parson Jack Russell called Millie, a cat called Tank that she re-homed from Kirks when he walked into the building as a stray back in February, 2 kittens called Teddy and Crystal, 7 guinea-pigs and a hamster.

Jo has a diploma in equine studies, working on a show jumping yard until she had a break to have her 2 children aged 13 and 10. She has 2 horses, 2 dogs, 2 rabbits, chickens and ducks at home. Jo like to spend her spare time riding, walking the dogs and watching her 2 children play football.

Lauren adores animals and has always wanted to work with animals. She studied for a Diploma in Horse Care at Riseholme. Previously worked in a Country store and is an SQP. She owns three dogs, Panda, a Jack Russel, Pip, a black and white Collie and Chase, a red merle rough collie. Horses are her passion and she owns five: Archie, Beauty, Buttercup, Rupert and Billy.

Bsc Honours Animal Behaviour and Welfare

Lottie has worked at KirksVets since March 2015, recently joining our Nursing Assistant team. And prior to this she studied Bsc Honours Animal Behaviour and Welfare at University of Lincoln and graduated September 2015. Lottie has a toy poodle called Betty, a cat called Florence, four guinea pigs, two chickens and fish. She clearly loves animals and cares about animal welfare, her outside interests include swimming, horse riding and reading.

Viv joined us in September 2015 having previously worked in a Veterinary practice in Cambridgeshire. Viv enjoys getting to know all our clients and their animals. She currently lives with her daughter in Sleaford where they share their house with three crazy Labradors - Woody, Bailey & Keith.

Bryony is one of our receptionists at Grantham and has been with us for around 5 years. She has qualifications in Business Administration and Bookkeeping. Bryony and her husband Jamie met at KirsVets and are our first Kirks wedding. Bryony has 3 dogs, Nancy, Buster and Toffee and a cat called Dave.  Outside of work she enjoys playing with the dogs and crafts such as up cycling furniture. Bryony is currently on Maternity leave and we wish her all the best!

Bobby is our very bubbly, chatty receptionist at Grantham. She started her career at Kirks in 2011 and after a brief move to Birmingham she has now re-joined us. She just couldn’t stay away! She lives with her fiancé and daughter Emily as well as two very bouncy border collies Bella and Bob.

Lauren is our newest receptionist based at our Sleaford Branch, She has two dogs, a cat and a horse. Lauren enjoys working at Kirks and her favourite part is meeting the new puppy and kitten members. She has a little boy at home who she enjoys spending time with.

Heather is mainly based at our Sleaford practice. She is married, has two children and also has a dog. In her spare time, Heather enjoys reading, cooking and socialising.

Lesley has been living in the area for about four years and is married with one daughter. She has pet Tortoise called Albert who is believed to be over 100 years old!

Pauline joined us at KirksVets in December 2012 having gained a wealth of knowledge working again in an administration and reception role at a veterinary practice in Buckinghamshire before relocating to Lincolnshire. Pauline and her husband share their home with Butch, a Bulldog and Paddi, a Boxer dog who Pauline loves to take on a good walk. She also enjoys gardening and keeping fit and looks forward to her annual holiday somewhere hot and exotic.

Tamsin is a qualified groomer based at our Grantham branch but sees clients from both practices. She loves to make the animals she grooms feel better and to see the happy faces of clients when they pick the animal up. She enjoys spending time with her Son and Doggy as well as keeping fit.
