P.D.S.A.
The Pets Dispensary for Sick Animals (P.D.S.A.) is a non-profit making charity dedicated to the health of people’s pets.
Maria Dickin set up the P.D.S.A. from a cellar in Whitechapel, East London in 1917 with a mission to help pets of disadvantaged people. The P.D.S.A. now has 44 animal hospitals in cities and towns throughout the country and in smaller communities, such as ours, they help private practices to run the PET AID scheme.
Kirksvets are pleased to be a registered Pet Aid centre for the P.D.S.A. and we cover the postcode areas NG31 through to NG34.
If you receive Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit you can register a single pet with the P.D.S.A. for only £3.00, and this covers you against unexpected Vet bills for the next six months. The only drawback with this is that to receive free treatment the pet must already be registered with the P.D.S.A. The result being that the people who need this cover most only find out about it when they visit the Vet’s, and then it is too late. So if you qualify, don’t delay, register today.
You can pick up a registration form from either Sleaford or Londonthorpe for peace of mind over the welfare of your beloved pet.
