Grooming

As our lifestyles change, meaning less free time and smaller houses, grooming parlours have changed and now offer a full range of services. Here at Kirksvets we can offer a range of services from a bath and dry, a dry trim or a complete bath and clip to suit you and your pet's needs. Nail trimming and ear cleaning is also included when required.

All breeds of dog, cats and rabbits are catered for, whatever their age and temperament. It is important he/she gets used to being handled and brushed as it could save a lot of stress for both you and your pet. We invite you to bring your puppy along to just sit and watch and get used to the goings on in the grooming room. This service is offered free of charge. Some pets may need a sedation to be groomed and we can do this at the surgery as a vet is on site.

Only quality shampoos are used, specific to your animal's skin and hair type. If needed, veterinary medicated shampoos can be used, as long as they have been prescribed by your veterinary surgeon. We can offer free advice on combs and brushes that best suit your pet.

We have a selection of dryers to suit all styles and types including an Automatic Dog Dryer which is a high quality, fully temperature controlled, time saving piece of equipment. The automatic dryer dries dogs in a comfortable and quieter environment, which is stress free as you can tell by the way they wag their tails while enjoying the warm air.
