Turors comments: 'Katie is an excellent student who puts in effort with both her college and portfolio work. To take her practicals in June Katie needs to aim to complete 100% of portfolio by 1st April. I beleive Katie could have acheived a slightly higher end of term test result, as acedemically she is very able' |

| Ist Year Exams and Revision - Katie |
| Katie is the most nervous student i have ever come across. She panics when i give her a test so whatever is she going to be like on the exam day!!!!! Perhaps a sedation is the answer or get her to wind a few relaxum in an hour befor the exam. We are revising like a veterinary nurse possessed and to be honest its doing me good as well. Katie knows the answers and we are going to practice exam techniques and how to read, understand, and answer the question. This is the main reason for getting questions wrong - NOT READING THE QUESTION!!!! |

| Katies latest report shows the following results: Nervous System 90%, Sterilisation 72%, End of Subject 85%, Urinary Test 81%, End of Unit VNT 6 73%, End of Unit VNT 2 77%: - Tutors Comments: Katie has worked hard this term on her portfolio which is now 98% complete, this is to be commended. Unfortunately due to unforseen circumstances Katies attendance has dropped below the 80% College target and this may have a detrimental effect on her mock exam results? Katie will need to work extremely hard over the next 4 weeks if she is to be prepared for the summer examinations, we wish her luck and look forward to welcoming her onto the level 3 course in September. |

| 3 1/2 weeks to go till the BIG exam. |
| Have got my exams very soon and its very scary, am so scared that i will fail and have to resit in December. Sara keeps telling me not to worry and that i will be fine, im not so sure. I crashed my car in April travelling to college on the A1 and wrote it off - not so good so have missed a few weeks at college as no transport. Have now completed 93% of my portfolio which is one less thing to worry about. Anyway will let u know how i get on, which probably wont be good. |

Karen passed and Hayley has to re-sit just one element of her practical to become fully fledged Veterinary Nurses, so well done both of you. Everyone at KirksVets are very proud and pleased that you both did so well. Well done! AK |
